COMMON QUESTIONS
Most Popular Questions
How does "dead-front" (hidden-until-lit) printing work for smart switches?
We achieve the dead-front effect by applying specialized semi-transparent dark inks via precision silkscreen printing. When the device is off, the glass appears as a solid, sleek black panel. When activated, LED displays and touch icons shine through with perfect clarity and color accuracy.
How durable is the Anti-Fingerprint (AF) coating on biometric smart locks?
Highly durable. We apply advanced oleophobic coatings that chemically bond to the glass surface. Our AF coatings easily pass rigorous steel wool abrasion tests and maintain excellent water contact angles (>110°), ensuring long-lasting smudge resistance for daily keypad interactions.
Do you require strict Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs)?
We accept standard 2D and 3D CAD files, including DWG, DXF, STEP, and PDF. Due to the complex nature of 2.5D/3D edge profiling and precise sensor cutouts, we highly recommend providing detailed 2D/3D drawings. Once uploaded, our team will conduct a comprehensive DFM (Design for Manufacturability) review and provide a factory quote within 24 hours.
Will your printed glass block the IR light needed for facial recognition?
No. We utilize specialized IR-transmitting inks for the bezel printing. This allows us to visually conceal the camera lens and PIR sensors from the human eye, while still allowing over 85% to 90% of infrared light (850nm/940nm) to pass through, ensuring flawless night vision and biometric scanning.
What file formats should I submit for a custom smart glass quote?
Yes. We understand that smart home ecosystems require various panel sizes (from small dimmers to large central control screens). We offer rapid prototyping for R&D testing and highly flexible MOQs to seamlessly support your high-mix, custom manufacturing runs.
What is your typical lead time for custom glass prototypes?
Our rapid prototyping process typically takes 7 to 14 working days, depending on the complexity of CNC machining and optical coatings. This allows our clients to accelerate their New Product Introduction (NPI) phase.
