COMMON QUESTIONS
Most Popular Questions
Can you manufacture precise step-edge glass for IP68 underwater and inground lights?
Yes. Step glass is one of our core specialties. We utilize highly advanced CNC multi-axis grinding to create flawless stepped edges (rebates). This ensures a perfect, exact fit for your rubber O-rings, guaranteeing long-lasting IP67 and IP68 waterproof and dustproof sealing for harsh outdoor environments.
Do you offer custom high-temperature silkscreen printing for lighting glass?
Absolutely. We use specialized ceramic inks that are fused directly into the glass surface during the high-temperature tempering process. This ensures that the opaque black borders and custom logos will never fade, peel, or scratch—even under years of direct outdoor UV exposure and extreme weather conditions.
Do you require strict Minimum Order Quantities (MOQs)?
We accept standard 2D and 3D CAD files, including DWG, DXF, STEP, and PDF. Due to the complex nature of 2.5D/3D edge profiling and precise sensor cutouts, we highly recommend providing detailed 2D/3D drawings. Once uploaded, our team will conduct a comprehensive DFM (Design for Manufacturability) review and provide a factory quote within 24 hours.
What glass material do you recommend for high-wattage industrial or stage lights?
For high-heat environments, we strongly recommend Borosilicate glass. Unlike standard soda-lime glass, borosilicate has an extremely low coefficient of thermal expansion. It effortlessly withstands severe thermal shocks and rapid temperature fluctuations (up to 300°C) without cracking, making it the safest choice for high-wattage spotlights and explosion-proof fixtures.
How do you eliminate harsh localized glare from powerful LED sources?
We eliminate glare through precise surface treatments, typically using sandblasting, chemical etching (frosting), or customized Anti-Glare (AG) processing. These techniques modify the glass surface to perfectly diffuse the LED light, creating a soft, uniform, and visually pleasing illumination spread without significantly sacrificing lumen output.
What is your typical lead time for custom glass prototypes?
Our rapid prototyping process typically takes 7 to 14 working days, depending on the complexity of CNC machining and optical coatings. This allows our clients to accelerate their New Product Introduction (NPI) phase.
